General Information about Home Visits

Currently, Dr. Michael Joseph is the only practice GP who is performing urgent home visits. It is important to note that these visits are under his own discretion and are usually special circumstances relating to his existing well-known patients.

Outside business hours, Dr. Michael Joseph’s patients are encouraged to call 0413183722 and leave a message. Dr. Michael Joseph will endeavor to return their call as soon as the opportunity arises.

 

We kindly ask that patients be considerate and only call after 11pm if it is an urgent matter that cannot wait until 7am the following morning.

 

If urgent care is required during surgery hours we encourage patients to call the practice first and hopefully attendance is possible. We are happy to arrange enhanced privacy with alternative access to the practice. If in the event a patient is too sick to come to the practice, Dr. Michael Joseph can visit the patient at their home or place of care if they are local and a patient of the practice. This means that Dr. Michael Joseph will do home visits from Belmont South to Swansea North.

Costs for a Home Visit

 

During business hours: $180.00 – Medicare rebate depends on multiple factors.

After business hours: $240.00 – Medicare rebate depends on multiple factors.
